Priscilla Payne Hurd Academic Complex

The Priscilla Payne Hurd Academic Complex is a 55,000 square foot, technologically advanced classroom facility containing 14 classrooms, including two tiered lecture halls. The building was completed in October 2002 and was open for the students in the Spring semester 2003. The building is home to four departments: Mathematics and Computer Science, Psychology, Sociology, and Education. There is also a second floor bridge that connect the building to the Collier Hall of Science.

All classrooms are "smart" classrooms, with computer stations for the instructors, selected multimedia equipment to match the use of the room and a ceiling-mounted projector. One classroom is designed as a mock teaching space for kindergarten through twelfth-grade teacher training. The building also has smaller research rooms, conference rooms, and breakout rooms which lend themselves to small group discussions and seminars.

The building also has several 2 public computer laboratory for students . Each laboratory consists of 30 student workstations. There is also a separate computer science laboratory with 28 sun workstations and 6 research machines. The entire building also has wireless internet connection for all faculty and students.
