Other Campus Activities
Mathematics Matters at Moravian (M3)
Every spring, M3 brings local middle- and high-school students to campus. After a key-note address about new ideas in mathematics, the students work with our faculty members in small workshops to explore interesting aspects of mathematics.
Workshops
Several faculty members have been active in running mathematics and computer science workshops. Here are some of the more recent workshops.
- Each year, the department hosts the Student Mathematics Conference where students from around the region have the opportunity to present their work.
- Michael Fraboni, together with Trisha Moeller from DeSales, have run a fractals workshop for teachers in the region.
- Are there other workshops that have been run?
Student Scholarship Day at Moravian
Each spring, Moravian College engages in a day of celebration for student scholarship. Students who have engaged in independent research are invited to participate in talks, presentations, or poster sessions. The entire campus community is encouraged to attend and discover what kinds of research is being conducted across the college. Information from the 2006 Student Scholarship day can be found here.
